Pappy Van Winkle Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Custom Window

Here we have a near custom window for a small batch whiskey. Eliza had this made for her husband. He would by a bottle when it's available to celebrate new beginnings with work, hence the celebrate be beginnings on the window. Since it's small batch it is a pricey bottle. So Eliza's solution was to have a more permanent representation of Pappy Van Winkle whiskey in the form of this wind-ow. The pappy lettering is similar to the bottle logo, coupled with a vintage script similar to the Indian motorcycle font and a slim yet elegant antique bank font. Enjoy!

Couldn't have said it better myself.
Big beautiful Chicago bungalow window with a lightly refurbished frame and fresh clear coat.

Original drawing and design. Old time sailor tattoo lettering on top and railroad lettering on the bottom. The water is drawn from an old 30s record label.
And yeah,  flipped and reversed the water to mirror as a whiskey ocean to hold the bottom lettering.

Double Pain - Bourbon Whiskey

I've said before, paned wind-ows are always a pain. But this guy wasn't a trouble. Why not paint two of my favorite things? Haha, simple and to the point. A nice couple picked up this window at the Renegade Art Fair. 

'Whiskey' is a lettering similar to bank signs from the late 1800s, early 1900s. And the 'Bourbon' lettering is from railroad signage. The frame has been stripped, stained and clear coated.

RYE Whiskey!

(Hey, take it easy, "Bourbon Whiskey" is coming. I am paintin' it right now.)

Anyway, rye whiskey goes very well with classic prohibition era cocktails such as a Manhattan.
Therefore, this long n' lean, unique, window gets the honor of showing off my favorite whiskey. Why, Beaner, what's your top ryes?
Well! Let's go through a few...

Starting with what's in my glass right now.. Bulleit, aged 4 to 7 years at 90 proof.

Sazerac! What a lovely font on that label... Aged  6 years and at 90 proof.

Next up we have Templeton, aged 5 years, 80 proof.

My favorite rye to order when I'm bellying up to the bar is Whistle Pig aged 10 years minimum, 100 proof, and with an attractive label. Best on the rocks or neat on a chilly winter night.
